Do you need planning permission for a wine cellar?
Planning permission is generally not required for a wine cellar, but building regulations may apply. We can advise on this during the consultation process.
Can I visit a showroom to see your products?
Whilst we don't have a physical showroom, we can arrange a visit to our show home in Kent to showcase our work. We do however have a show home with a HEX underground wine cellar installed.
How often do I need to maintain my wine cellar?
Regular inspections and cleaning are recommended. We can provide a maintenance schedule during your consultation.
Can I customise the design of my wine cellar?

We strive to minimise disruption, and most installations are straightforward. We'll walk you through what to expect during consultation.
What kind of flooring or insulation is recommended?
Proper insulation and non-porous flooring are key. We’ll guide you on materials that maintain optimal storage conditions.

What temperature should my wine cellar be maintained at?
Ideal wine storage temperature is between 12-14°C (53-57°F), with minimal fluctuations.
Do I need a cooling unit in my wine cellar?
It depends on your cellar’s location and insulation. We’ll assess your needs during consultation and recommend the right solution.
Is humidity control important for wine storage?
Yes, maintaining humidity between 60–70% helps prevent corks from drying out and discourages mould growth.
Can your wine cellars store both red and white wines together?
Yes, with proper temperature zoning or cellar design, both can be stored safely together.

How many bottles can your wine cellars hold?
We offer solutions for collections as small as 50 bottles to large-scale cellars for over 1,700 bottles.
Can I expand my cellar in the future?
Many of our systems are modular or designed to accommodate future expansions.
Aftercare & Support
Do you offer warranties or service packages?
Yes, we offer a six-year warranty on all physical goods. (subject to our terms and conditions). We provide annual maintenance on your climate control system, with the first year's service included. Ongoing maintenance packages are available for purchase after the initial year.
What happens if my cellar has a technical issue?
Our support team is available to assist with troubleshooting and repairs. We can arrange service visits if needed.
